Katie became Co-Founder of Little Angels of Honduras and a national advocate for maternal-infant healthcare in the country of Honduras after the loss of her infant daughter Lily in 2013. Little Angels has become an international movement to strengthen the voices of infants and mothers through early prevention, advanced education for medical providers, proper treatment capacity in health clinics and hospitals, promotion of skin-to-skin care, and innovative design.
Katie is Founder of Ministerio La Raza (La Raza Ministries) in the community of Barrio Sipile in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Barrio Sipile is notorious for its high crime rate and gang violence. Katie believes and invests her time in empowering young people to become the peace-makers of their community. This initiative is sensitive, so please reach out directly to Katie for more information.
Katie is Co-Founder of (RE)TREAT, a 2-Day women’s event in the city of Jamestown, NY, to empower women for impact in their homes, churches and cities. Katie is also a profile speaker for the Women Speakers Collective, an initiative to prepare, platform and unite female speakers.
The Local Church
Katie is on staff as the Director of Mission at Conduit Ministries in Jamestown, NY. She believes in the power of the local church to create authentic communities of Jesus-following disciples who live on mission together. As the Director of Mission, Katie spearheads the missional parts of their Vision 2025 initiative and is passionate about the training of leaders for community development.
